Overview
As a web designer at CDK Global, my primary role is creating websites for our clients in the automotive retail industry. Our designs are driven by our client’s needs, goals, and priorities. We work in a very fast-paced environment using our proprietary website-building platform. Once built, the clients are able to quickly and easily update their site content, and monitor performance results themselves.
Our Platform
Our website-building platform has a handful of design templates to choose from. The designs are filled with stock photos and SEO text by default. The sections, known as content blocks, can be moved around, deleted, and replaced. Text size and colors are defined by the design that is chosen. Text and images can be arranged into columns, carousels, and left, right or center aligned.
If left default, the design templates often look ‘cookie cutter’. Clients are not aware of how customizable they are and how much they can change the look with minimal effort.
Problem
Showcase how we can differentiate these sites by customizing the design template with captivating imagery, image treatments, font styles/sizes, and colors so that the sales team can show the client what we can REALLY DO!
